SmartTechnology Brand Manager Position in Halifax, N.S. (STI Head Office)
Sampling Technologies Inc. (STI) is currently looking for a highly motivated, customer focused individual to assist in marketing our SmartTechnology Products and Programs to various stakeholders. Just as our products can be counted on for superior performance, we seek above average business savvy to position our existing SmartTechnology product portfolio as a leader in alternative sample prescription marketing. The Brand Manager position will be primarily responsible for further development of the Brand Plan, new product development and tactical implementation of promotional activities in consultation with the Director of Marketing, This position, similar to most positions at STI, will need cross functional collaboration with IT and Analytics departments as well as providing daily support for the Sales Account Management Team in marketing related functions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day to day branded promotional activities for the business and to support sales
- Review, adapt, enhance 3 year brand plans, as necessary, for optimal SmartTechnology product and program portfolio adoption by various stakeholders into 2009-2011
- Conduct Primary and Secondary market research
- Implement customer segmented promotional strategies within the pharmaceutical, diagnostic, clinical trial, and Healthcare Professional markets
- Support Public Relations activities, where appropriate
- Remain current on product information and industry trends
- SmartTechnology Product presentations
- Work closely with inter-company departments on reporting tool products and new program launches
- Some out of province travel to pharmaceutical head offices (Toronto/Montreal) and sales meetings
- Trade Show attendance
- Provide monthly budget status reports
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 3-5 years successful sales and marketing experience with proven success building brands, preferably in the pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry, diagnostic industry or with an agency supporting the pharmaceutical industry.
- Minimum of 2 years specifically in a brand management role
- Consumer packaged goods brand management experience would be an asset.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally in a professional manner.
- Ability to establish and develop key customer and supplier relationships.
- Solid organizational and time management skills.
- Self motivated.
- Positive attitude, work ethic and a team player.
