STI’s SmartTrial™ program continues to gain adoption with Phase IIIB/IV  National clinical studies.  STI is currently working with nine clinical trial sponsors on a variety of studies, offering a safe and efficient solution in the management of study medications.

Traditional methods of supplying study medication(s) and comparator medication(s) have high costs associated with supplying numerous dosage options. Subsequently, the sponsor can be left with a high volume of wasted or expired study medication that needs to be destroyed.  With STI’s SmartPayment™ SmartTrial™ program, study medication(s) are dispensed through a retail pharmacy, offering a controlled, effective method while eliminating any potential wasted or expired product.

By using a SmartPayment™ vehicle within the SmartTrial™ program, facilitation of patient recruitment and investigator management is seamless.  SmartTrial™ can accommodate simple to complex Phase IIIB/IV study protocols, with multiple medication reimbursement, large multi-site trials and controlled study arms.

STI SmartTechnology™ allows a study subject (by Subject Number) to be accurately monitored by the investigator and the sponsor, allowing for improved follow-up and study outcomes, while adhering to stringent privacy regulations.  STI’s SmartTrial™ is TPD (Health Canada) approved technology, and is available in all provinces and territories in Canada through retail pharmacy.
