STI was proud to have been a platinum sponsor of the 3rd Annual National Pharmaceutical Congress that was held on March 25th in Toronto. The theme of the Congress – “Communication Challenges and Strategies for the Life Sciences in an Age of Change” aimed to explore effective means of communicating with professionals, patients and other key stakeholders through discussions and debates.
The highly attended event included faculty from Pharma and related fields, including Rx &D, Chronicle Companies and other notable suppliers. The three “Rapid fire” discussions examined communication challenges with stakeholders, professionals and patients. The “Oxford” debates aimed to discuss workplace diversity, government regulation in the current economic environment and how it relates to the life sciences industry in Canada and the US.
A highlight of the Congress as it relates to Sampling Technologies was heard throughout the third “rapid fire” session (Communication Challenges: Patients). More specifically, Dean Michelin’s (Valeo Pharma) examination of communications to patients, and the emphasis on effective use of suppliers further reinforced STI’s important role within the industry. STI’s SmartTechnology™ offers innovative marketing solutions for prescription (Rx), medical devices and over-the-counter (OTC) brands as well as management of complex multi-centre clinical trials. STI has created a range of flexible SmartTechnology™ products such as SmartPayment™, SmartSample®, SmartRx™ and SmartCoverage™ that have been processed in 95% of all retail pharmacies in Canada. STI’s SmartTechnology™ generates Real-Time measurable sales data that has been proven to provide positive impacts on market share through earlier brand adoption.
During the end of the National Pharmaceutical Congress, awards were presented to honor the 2009 inductees of the Canadian Healthcare Marketing Hall of Fame. These awards honored a “representative cross-section of the qualities that make our business unique and fulfilling”. STI acknowledges the achievements of the honorees and congratulates them on their accomplishments within the pharmaceutical industry as well as in the broader environment.
