STI was recently featured in The Chronicle of Healthcare Marketing. The article centered on how pharmacy sampling and co-pay assist drug and device programs are cost effective solutions for pharmaceutical marketers.
Jason Steele, Director of Sales and Marketing at STI, commented on the fast growing co-pay assist model stating that “It's an opportunity for us (STI) to be the neutral territory for a pharmaceutical company to offer patients a co-pay assist . . . allowing the patient to have less of a burden either until drug coverage is obtained or in some instances to faciliate retention strategies as part of a larger brand loyalty program." Steele highlighted the pharmacist and the pharmacy technician as important stakeholders in pharmacy redemption programs.
The article reinforced the process of how STI’s SmartTechnology™ products and programs are distributed by physicians to patients and then redeemed at retail pharmacy. It also mentioned that STI's SmartTechnology platform is opening up opportunities for pharmaceutical and device brand manufacturers in other areas of the product life cycle, areas such as Phase IIIb and IV clinical studies, patient assistance programs at launch and generic bridging programs at the end of a product's traditional life cycle.
Ulimately STI's SmartTechnology platform faciliates a Brand Manager's ability to gain more adoption for their product and/or retain more patients as all SmartTechnology programs provide business intelligence in real time for customers while abiding by all privacy laws in Canada.
