Halifax, Nova Scotia - STI, Canada’s leading provider of pharmacy reimbursement intelligence solutions to the healthcare industry, is pleased to announce that it has selected and hired three summer co-op students.
Logistics Co-op Erin Nicolle, I.T Co-op Jake Bruce and Public Relations/ Marketing Co-op Alex Mackeigan, have all expressed their excitement at this real world learning experience. “STI is a visionary company within the pharmaceutical industry, and I’m very pleased to be able to help move this company forward any way possible” Says Jake Bruce a second year I.T student at Acadia University. “With STI being such a young company, but at the same time being such an industry leader, the learning possibilities for me are seemingly endless” says Alex MacKeigan a second year Public Relations student at Mount St. Vincent University.
Even the full time staff at STI are becoming excited about this injection of youthful energy. “These students come in full of energy and ready to learn, and it energizes us as an office. It makes our work that much more rewarding to see these students learning and making a difference within our company.” Says STI’s Director of Operations Chad Lloyd.
With these Co-op students being here for such a short period of time, it is expected that they produce at a high level, and according to Erin Nicolle they are more than up to the task. “We are the first Co-op students that STI has hired, for us this makes it even more important that we come in and set an example, so that in the future there may be more opportunities for future co-op students like us”
