Introducing SmartPayment™ … a temporary Patient Reimbursement Vehicle processed through Pharmacies in Canada!
 The SmartPayment™ is a branded product that is provided to a patient for use as a one time reimbursement vehicle for a sample*. SmartPayment, like SmartSample, is an improved alternative to the traditional prescription and diagnostic device sample format. A patient may receive a SmartPayment from a variety of sources including Physicians, Pharmacists, or sometimes through Direct to Patient Programs. SmartPayment can be used in Clinical Trials and for Over-the-Counter medications!
In the case of prescription medications the patient will present a SmartPayment to the pharmacy of their choice along with a valid prescription from their physician. The patient will receive the prescribed medication free of charge.
In the case of over-the-counter medications and diagnostic devices no physician prescription is required.
Using SmartPayment ensures product integrity and adherence to medication sample regulatory requirements including Canada’s Food and Drug Act, Rx&D’s Code of Marketing Practices and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Document Act (PIPEDA), Canada’s privacy law.
