Introducing SmartSamplePlus™
 STI has complemented the SmartSample® with a Physician Convenience Prescription to enable a more seamless approach for the Patient, the Physician and the Pharmacist to process repeat prescriptions when appropriate after the completion of a sample. This product was developed with input from Patients, Physicians and Pharmacists with patient safety as the primary benefit.
The SmartSample® Plus allows the Physician to perform the same action as they would with traditional samples which is to provide a prescription along with the sampled product for chronic diseases. Once completed by the Physician, the product will be two prescriptions ... the first, SmartSample®, is a “free” (no-charge) sample for the patient with STI as the payer on behalf of the pharmaceutical manufacturer.
The second, the Physician Convenience Prescription, when authorized by the physician will be logged onto the patient’s record at pharmacy, and after successful trial of the sample, should be submitted to the patient or the patient’s medication plan for payment.
